01. Liquor, alcohol and excise restrictions
Do not hand over liquor or alcoholic beverages for carriage, even in small quantities or as part of household belongings. A purchase bill or a sealed bottle does not override Safemax Express’s non-acceptance policy. State excise and prohibition requirements differ across pickup, transit and destination locations. Unlawful possession or transport can lead to detention or seizure of goods and vehicles, legal notices, prosecution, fines or other action under the applicable law. The consequences depend on the state, offence, quantity and circumstances; penalties are determined by the competent authority under the applicable law.
02. Items we do not accept
- Illegal drugs, narcotics, contraband, stolen goods and goods whose carriage is unlawful.
- Firearms, ammunition, explosives, fireworks and weapon components requiring controlled handling.
- Fuel, petrol, diesel, kerosene, flammable solvents and filled gas/LPG cylinders.
- Corrosive, toxic, radioactive, infectious or explosive substances; unidentified chemicals and hazardous waste.
- Cash, bearer instruments, jewellery, precious metals or stones and irreplaceable personal valuables.
- Live animals, human remains, biological specimens and illegal wildlife or protected-species products.
- Any concealed, falsely declared or undocumented goods that cannot lawfully be transported.
03. Items requiring prior review
- Batteries, battery-powered equipment, aerosols, paints, liquids, chemicals and products with dangerous-goods characteristics.
- Medicines, food, perishables or goods needing temperature-controlled or time-sensitive handling.
- Fragile goods, artwork, antiques, unusually high-value equipment and other items needing special packing or cover.
- Vehicles, machinery and oversized or unusually heavy items requiring special handling or documentation.
- Goods subject to permits, regulatory declarations, customs clearance or route-specific restrictions.
These categories are not automatically accepted. Describe the exact item, quantity, packaging and route before booking. Written acceptance and required documents are necessary, and the proposed service may not support the item. An enquiry or quotation is not permission to ship it.
04. Before a household move
Empty and disconnect appliances safely. Remove fuel, gas cylinders, liquor, cash, jewellery and personal documents from the moving inventory. Keep essential medicines and valuables with you. Tell our team about batteries, liquids, fragile items and any item you are unsure about. Do not place restricted contents inside clothes, furniture, appliances, sealed cartons or mixed household boxes.
05. Accurate declarations and inspection
Provide an accurate item list, value and documents required for lawful carriage. Safemax Express may ask for information, inspect contents through lawful procedures or refuse a package that is unsafe, prohibited, misdeclared or inadequately documented. Inspection does not transfer the sender’s responsibility for an accurate declaration, and it does not remove any legal duty of the carrier. Do not use misleading descriptions such as “household goods” to conceal restricted contents.
06. If restricted goods are discovered
We may refuse collection, pause further movement and follow lawful instructions from the relevant authority. We will not return, dispose of or destroy goods contrary to applicable legal requirements. Any recovery of costs or claim against a sender must have a lawful basis and reflect the facts and valid service terms; any proposed recovery will be explained with supporting details. Authority action, including a legal notice or penalty, is determined under the applicable law rather than a fixed Safemax Express charge.
07. Confirm before you pack
This list is not exhaustive. Restrictions can depend on the item, transport mode, route and current law. If in doubt, contact info@safemaxexpress.com or +91 63750 43378 before packing or paying for collection. Our team cannot authorise carriage prohibited by law.
08. Legal references
For the legal framework on declarations and hazardous goods, see the Carriage by Road Act, 2007. Excise and prohibition laws are state-specific; examples include the Gujarat Prohibition Act and Rajasthan Excise Act. Consult the applicable law and current notifications for a particular consignment; these references do not create an exception to our liquor non-acceptance policy.
